Lexi Mama, the dog who spent an unbelievable 1,414 days living at the Town of Hempstead Animal Shelter finally has a furever home. As announced on Twitter:

After 1,414 days I can now say: Hasta la vista, shelter life!! I’m adopted!! 🎉🎉 Over the course of TWO months and multiple weekend long meet & greets, Lexi Mama has left the building!
