July 2, 2026 – Mars Petcare U.S. announced a voluntary recall for two lots of PEDIGREE Can High Protein Chopped Chicken & Duck Flavor 13.2oz for dogs after products intended for destruction may have entered the U.S. marketplace. According to Mars, the lots did not meet company safety and quality standards and may contain metal and plastic foreign material.
Mars is investigating how the products entered the marketplace and is helping consumers identify and remove affected products.
The affected products being recalled are part of only two lots.

- 613C1KKCFC
- Safety Risk: Pieces of hard and sharp metal with plastic may be present and could cause harm if consumed.
At this time:
- No other PEDIGREE or Mars Petcare US, Inc products are affected or being recalled.
- No related pet illnesses or injuries have been reported.
