Blue Ridge Beef Voluntarily Recalls Blue Ridge Beef Puppy Mix Due to Salmonella Contamination

 

Dog Food Recall Alert




December 2nd, 2024 — Blue Ridge Beef is voluntarily recalling its Puppy Mix after being notified by the FDA that the product tested positive for Salmonella. This issue came to light after a customer reported that a litter of puppies became ill, leading to an investigation by the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS).

What was recalled?

  • Product: 2 lb log of Puppy Mix
  • Lot Numbers08/06/N25 and 08/16/N25
  • UPC: 854298001696

The recalled products were distributed between August 6, 2024, and August 23, 2024. They were packaged in clear plastic and sold primarily in retail stores across Virginia, North Carolina, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Massachusetts, and New York State.

Lot numbers can be found stamped on the clips at the ends of the chubs/bags.
