An unusual collaboration between two predators in the wilderness in Finland was caught on camera by a photographer who was surprised to stumble across the animals.
A few years ago, a female grey wolf and a male brown bear were spotted together for 10 days straight by Finnish photographer Lassi Rautianinen. The two spent several hours together every night and even shared food with each other.
Lassi and his friends are unsure why or how the two wild animals became friends but they think that the two were alone and young and a “bit unsure of how to survive alone” so they teamed up and helped each other survive. The rare companionship was documented by Lassi in photographs and they’re fascinating to see!
