This video is so sad and speaks to how animals grieve, much like people. A dog named Bella was friends with a beaver who would often visit her home. In this video, the beaver had passed away and Bella lays by his side waiting for her friend to wake up.
The family named the beaver, Beavis and Bella and Beavis were companions for “quite a while”. Apparently, the pair played ball together, would sleep together and ate together. YouTube user Jack BDead wrote, “They lived and loved together for quite a while. Beavis died this morning, and Bella has been in mourning for hours.”
No one knows how Beavis died, but his passing was sad for everyone, especially Bella. Jack BDead wrote of Beavis, “He (or she) was not “trained” or “kept” as a pet. It was merely a relationship between Bella and Beavis that no one here interfered with. Many mornings would find Beavis in the yard lounging with Bella curled up next to him sleeping. Bella would grab a tennis ball in her mouth and coax Beavis to give chase – which he surprisingly did often (albeit in short bursts).”
