“Hundreds of dogs die in hot cars every summer. It’s sad and completely preventable. People are either careless or don’t know the dangers. Either way it has to stop,” wrote Mark Moll.

In order to try and combat the problem and raise awareness in local neighborhoods, Mark created a project in pictures and called it “73 days of Summer, 73 Safe Parking Spots”.
Going to neighborhoods throughout Chicago last summer, Mark used chalk to convey a simple message and left everyday dog items (like bowls, leashes, or toys) to further accent the parking spot.
