Richard (now called Ivo) was rescued in Greece by Save a Greek Stray. It is a no kill shelter that has rescued countless dogs from dying on the streets. He passed away at six years of age in 2019, and a few months later, Sohpie and Franjo decided to adopt Richard. This is the third dog with leishmaniasis that they adopted from Greece. It is a disease that prevents many amazing dogs from finding a home, mainly die to lack of knowledge about it from foreign vets.
