From The Dodo

This dog has been waiting for a home for 7 years. So this couple took her home for a weekend to document and show everyone what a wonderful, loving and special girl she is.

👋🏼 Nice to meet my new friends! I want to start by thanking each and everyone one of you for following me here, watching @thedodo video, and sharing my story. I feel very positive that my forever family isn’t too far away, and that makes me very excited! I just need to make some things clear: Any negative comments on this page will be deleted and you may just get blocked too. I have been seeing so many negative comments towards the couple who took me home for the weekend, which makes me laugh because those people are literally missing the entire purpose of it. One of them works as an editor with the Dodo, and wanted to help get a needy dog adopted. What better way to do that, then to take said dog home for a weekend foster, get to know her well, document the weekend, create a video, and share it with the Dodo community!? Over two million people have already seen my video, so do you think this was a good thing?? I was not traumatized to return to the shelter, I was very happy to see all my besties. At the shelter, I live in an office with a half a dozen employees who love me and take care of me. I am just fine! And I know my happily ever after is close. So stop bashing the amazing people who opened their home to me for the weekend to get me this exposure, which will ultimately be the reason I’m adopted! I wish everyone would take home a longtimer for the weekend and help get them adopted! Weekend fosters are amazing ways to give dogs a break from shelter life, and gives the shelter more info about how the dog is in a home! Sounds like a win win, no!? Now that we got that crap out of the way: ALL SERIOUS ADOPTION INQUIRES MUST GO THROUGH THE SHELTER. Comments made here or on the Dodo video on IG or FB may not be responded to because there are too many to keep up with. IF YOU ARE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING ME CALL THE SHELTER at 516-785-5220 OR EMAIL: adoption@tohmail.org . I AM LOCATED ON LONG ISLAND, NY. NO DOGS, NO CATS AND US adopters only! PS: IF YOU SEE ANY ADOPTION INQUIRE COMMENTS ANYWHERE, please help a girl out and ask them to contact the shelter @tohanimalshelter #thankyouforlistening
